i think the calzaghe of last night would of dominated hopkins he was much quicker and sharper than in the hopkins fight he seems to have grown into the weight better

It's nice to be able to make that excuse but the truth is this. #1 Pavlik isn't as good as people thought he was, if he was anywhere near that good he would have beaten any version of a 43 year old hopkins. #2 Hopkins was the same Hopkins that fought JC and is still old and past it. All the hopkins win over pavlik should do is change peoples view on pavlik.
Neither Calzaghe against Jones, nor Hopkins against Pavlik, were likely any better than in their fight against each other. They just looked better for not being in with an opponent who was able to negate much of what they do best.

Either one could win a rematch, it's ridiculous to say one would dominate just becuase of how they looked in their most recent performance against fighters that are now far less than they are.
