Happy 250th to Our Rummy, Mr. @Rumsfeld. Here’s to 250 more … and beyond!

You provide valuable service to boxing in general and to this forum in particular. You are an inspiration, and speaking for myself I can tell you that if you ever have a fleeting thought that no one appreciates how much work and effort you put into this … please know that I do.

This place wouldn’t be the same without you.

(And who among us hasn’t had our own John L fever dreams, haha.)

Dare I say, you had me at Monica Belluci?

Though you have a heavier timbre, I’m getting a bit of a Jack Nicholson vibe, perhaps due to your pacing, intonations etc.

Don’t worry, no one ever agrees with me on such things - but if, just one time, I could hear you say “I was talking to Nurse Ratched…..”, .

 

I’ll see Rummy’s ‘watch Moore-Durelle’ and raise him a ‘just watch some Archie Moore.’

I swear every time I watch a Moore fight a notice some new subtle thing he does to manipulate an opponent or set up a punch or making one miss.

Instead of ‘the Old Mongoose,’ he could have been nicknamed ‘Encyclopedia Archie.’ I don’t know that the sport was every blessed with a better person nor wiser technician. (Plus he could knock your block off.)

BTW I've always wanted to ask you what is the best video you've made in your opinion?

In my opinion it is "Heavyweight History with Emanuel Steward (Boxing Documentary)".
But I think that video should not be included in the competition, and the reason is that you did not make the video yourself, but in cooperation with a boxing expert better than yourself.
You help people to understand boxing better.

Tbh, I haven’t dreamt of John L, but if I did, that would be cool.

However, I’d be extremely concerned if had a dream about a “faceless” Jim Corbett. That would be totally thong.

I want to one day discover that Corbett was the first boxer to utilize ring walk music and it was an orchestral version of ‘Thong Song.’

 

Wonderful vid, congrats on reaching the big #250! Fully agreed on all five points, HBO Boxing was the best.
