Can a guys reputation go from being a boogeyman psychopathic killer...

To a one dimensional predictable punching bag in one night.

    Gotta love boxing :good

    so true right?

All Ruslan needs to do is give one brutal beating to a nobody, and people will be claiming everyone in the division is ducking him.

It was a close fight. People who are saying it was a clinic are ****ing blind, ******ed, idiots.

The one-dimensional punching bag made the boxer walk through hell and back and almost go blind to get the close win.

I'm not even saying it's the truth, just noting how extreme the boxing community can be.

The only reason it was close was because of the first round. Algieri won 8/11 of the remainding rounds to win by two points. That's close to a clinic.

i thought it truly could have went either way but was completely expected ruslan to get the dec. in no way was he dominated like paq was from jmm in the first fight.

after round 1 that fight was a mismatch, this was at least close so i was surprised by the dec.. a little bit

What were you watching? No, a lot of those rounds were close and Provodnikov was throwing the more effective punches vs. Algieri's large output. It depends on what you want to reward.

I've seen people here calling a guy who moved up to a weight he's never fought at and batter the lineal champion in his first fight to become a 4 division champ a bum

    only here on ESB (BN24)

People have a tendency to overrate brawlers, they then take those tendencies and use them against boxers they hate. They will repeat so and so brawler destroys this guy (that they hate) over and over til their blue in the face blowing up the overrating to massive proportions only to be let down brutally hard, what amazes me is that they never learn...

That may be true for some, but for me I always knew Prov was just a one dimensional slugger and that's why his bout with Bradley was so fan friendly and exciting.:yep

If you want to say Algeri won thats fine..But it wasn't like this was a one sided schooling...Prov KD'd him twice and made his face look like it went through a meat griner.

The people who are talking **** are mostly Racist *****s who hate non black sluggers and who are even as pathetic as to act like last night was a loss for GGG as well.

Prov took the loss like a man and they want to call him a bum and a joke...Yet Broner was beaten senseless, tried to quit, and ran out of the ring and cried in his locker room and all they could say afterwards was that he has heart and that he will come back and be an ATG..Pathetic fans.

Provo is a good fighter. Loses are a part of boxing though. Algeri used a lot of movement. That frustrated Provo, and made him a less effective fighter as he struggled to plant his feet and get off enough good shots. Very few fighters out there can adapt to every style. They say styles make fights for a reason.
