You won't find one respectable p4p list that includes any Euros outside of the Kilts.

Dont forget Nonito Donaire is American. Cotto is from Puerto Rico, which is about as close as you can get to a US state, and Manny Pacquiao is from the philipines which is a former American colony.

If we're claiming anyone that is 'from a former colony' then I think you're about to lose this one! :happy

No they aren't. Most of them are American, with a few Brits. FYI, despite Telefutura and Telemundo being a Spanish language networks, they are headquartered in America. Telemundo is down the street from me in Miami, and Telefutura is in New York, with most of its programming based in Miami as well.

Do you? You pointed to that as evidence of The Ring's international flavor, but most of the publications and networks are American based, which pretty much nixes your argument.

Should be a good fight, and Khan has got to be the favorite. But why does Khan still have the WBA belt, when he had a mandatory challenger in Marcos Maidana and clearly ducked him (even Freddie Roach said they were avoiding him.)

Just one more idiotic decision by the dumbass World Boxing Association.

I do like Paulie's slick style though, should make for an interesting fight.

:patschThis is a joke, right?I'm sure you are ironic

USA controlled Philipines after they took part in upraising against Spain. That was the end of XIX century. Pacquaio ancestors were those Americans from XIX centruy and it made huge impact on his boxing skill:patsch

In every heart of a filipino, there is an American yearning to be free.

I don't know, I don't speak anything other than English, being the typical American in that regard, so I couldn't really find a German, Russian, Italian p4p list that I could remotely understand.

The point is that you produced a list which you claim is not biased, but which includes mostly American and some British writers.

Now, as for this whole back and forth, why can't you simply acknowledge that styles make fights? Dirrell has spent his career fighting shorter orthodox fighters, hence he has developed a style exceptionally well suited to fighting them. He had a tremendous amount of trouble establishing himself against Froch, who is closer to him in height and reach, but is clearly not as technically sound nor athletically talented as Abraham. How he performed against Abraham was clearly not related to how he performed against Froch because both tossed very different physical and stylistic tools into the equation. As good as Dirrell looked versus Abraham, I'd doubt he would look as good as Bute, who is as tall, as rangy, every bit as fast, and very technically sound.
