Calzag obviously had a younger and stronger opponent with a slightly bigger frame. Kessler proved to be too predictable and inactive to land enough of those big shots. I had always felt that Calzag was young enough to win fairly comfortably based on his experience and handspeed. DLH and Hopkins put away those two opponents, but had more struggle with weaker opposition IMO. Hopkins didn't really fight weak opposition in Tito but Kessler wasn't coming up in weight nor had been TKO'd like Vargas. Calzag passed my test with flying colors. Let's hope Hopkins doesn't keep fighting to lose because he will against Calzag, Pavlik, and style wise possibly RJJ again. At 35 Calzag's status will be like Hopkins of 01. Perfect timing because he is young enough to beat Hopkins, Pavlik, and the other big names under 175.
