Even though Haney was given the decision. Lomachenko once again displayed himself being the superior fighter . He is the best fighter in the last decade to step in the ring of this era.
I definitely think that Haney's victory had more to do with Loma's inactivity rather than being a better boxer. Sure, there were a few rounds where Haney's body shots paid off and won him rounds, but I think Loma would've won them if he just did a little more. Certainly no masterclass by Haney
from round 1 it was a great fight, high intensity lots of great exchanges and ebbs and flows in action. These guys complimented each other well in the ring
It was a very entertaining match just because of everything that was at stake. I was disappointed in Haney allowing the older fighter to out work him. I was also very disappointed in Loma's performance. He struggled bad against Lopez, struggled bad against Salido, and now against Haney.
I can understand your disappointment but I will say that Loma is 35 years old. For the smaller fighters, that's getting up there. His amazing prime is probably over and, given that Haney was the much bigger, longer, younger man, I think Loma put in a good effort.
