The Saunders fight was as expected, the Gavin fight I tuned out of because it were ****, but the two main events weren't bad.

First of all, I don't think that fight should've been stopped, it was ridiculous. The referee shouldn't have the power to call the fight on an unchecked cut. What he should've done was call the doctor and if he wanted no more, the doctor would call it, but that would've went down apparently as a N/C and the fight would've had no winner, but if that's so then why stop it altogether? The cut wasn't that bad, admittedly the guy looked a little like he didn't want it in his corner but it was a good fight. He was showing what Cleverly was made of and it was a pretty good fight, and he was tagging Cleverly. I think it was stopped way too early and just wasn't fair.

The main evet, I thought was brilliant. I was happy to see a rivalry that made me think a little of the Four Kings days. The fight started off as both men testing eachother then Groves took off, and Degale started coming back and getting the better of every time they traded, and was ****ing Groves up near the end of the fight. Both men were cut, there really was nothing much in it and I'm glad these guys tested so well at this point in their career, it made for a great fight and means if they're both up for it, they can fight again in the future when it's bigger and Degale losing might be a good thing.

I had Degale by either a point or a draw, I think I was only really angry because I placed money on Degale/Hopkins in two bets, so I felt a little robbed. It was a close fight, but exciting ****. I really didn't find it boring at all, I found it all fascinating. I just hope Degale doesn't take this loss badly (I don't think he will), learns from it and continues to march on, maybe becomes a little more humble and isn't so cocky. Groves did him a favour, but Groves came out of that one a bit too cocky for my liking (with good reason, I guess) and Degale looking like the better fighter, if a little one sided where Groves came out looking like he had more ways to fight but a little low on the stamina and maybe his chin is suspect.

Degale was catching him with the left hook a lot, and was timing him, which makes me think if they do fight again soon, I'd take Degale. He started the fight too slow and to me, looked a little sheepish before the fight started. Groves had no look of nervousness and his confidence really made me believe he could do it by the fight started, and Degale looked hurt he was getting booed in London. Hopefully it knocks him down a peg or two and he'll be more humble, because I thought they both fought brilliantly and wish them good luck in their future. They'll both go far.
