Last night I went to the FNF in Hollywood, Florida at this Resort's club room. It was a nice setup and as usual you run in to random ass people. Shannon Briggs was there and I talked to him for a few minutes. Dude was nice and humble. Erislandy Lara was there as well. I got tanked due to the pregaming and hte bartender hooking it up lol. It was $25 bucks but they let me and my friend sit in the tables close to the ring. Guzman looked crisp and had a solid contingent there. I mean granted Pabon isnt exactly a A class fighter but Guzman looked quite fluid for a 35 year old. Yeesh what a waste of talent. Miami native Ed Paredes was also impressive. I liked how they had 3 fights after the main event. All in all boxing is alive and well and it was an excellent night.
Right on man, good stuff. I am also fine with the current state of boxing. There is nothing wrong with kickin back with a few beers and watching some good action. I don't need a mega star to be entertained. The Prescott fight on the Pacquiao/Marquez under card was a sick fight, just lacked name recognition. There are tons of good match ups out there as long as fighters and fans stop paying so much attention to records. As long as you put on a good show I will still want to see a fighter again even after defeat.
Haha nah I went with a friend but I did not sample much cuisine other than multiple glasses of rum lol. How are you man?
