I don't think Rocky moved his head so much he basically relied on his right glove to catch punches.

I actually think Patterson would be bad for Fury.

I think speed troubles him more than power.

Fury done an amazing job of getting back in shape, but still had stamina issues in a slow fight. Wouldever trouble Fury caused him, Marciano would just keep applying pressure, and certainly the version last night would get worn out and stopped.

Maybe against the Fury that fought Wlad would win, as the size difference is a lot of overcome. I think that could go either way.

Its a bit of a catch 22. The smaller fighters that don't appear to have the length or height to get to Fury and run the risk of getting tied up and worn down on the way in, actually pose more of a threat to his style, because it forces him to punch down, which sacrifices power and accuracy, which in the long run makes it harder to sustain a consistent output.

On the other hand, guys like Ali and Holmes, that were exceptional boxers, don't have the luxury of keeping Fury on the end of their jab, Fury's ring IQ and ring generalship should not be overlooked here, he would almost certainly neutralise their best weapons. In fact, there's no way Fury is going to be leading the action, so he actually forces both of them to go out of their comfort zone even more.

The Fury that fought Wlad was faster, sharper, had slightly better stamina and was likely stronger than the Fury that Wilder as well.

I agree with this. I pick Holmes and Ali to beat Fury on points ,but looking at it from the way you describe they could both really struggle .Furys going to cause problems for literally every fighter he meets and I'm beginning to think he'd give Ali and Holmes possibly their toughest fights. And we know that Fury has the heart to get up from a crunching KD from a heavy puncher so we can't write him off for that now .

Current Fury may not be able to beat the upper tier of lineal heavyweights, but the Fury who beat Wlad and quite possibly a future Fury that gets in better shape could beat some of the upper tier.

I would put money on him beating Marvin Hart

Actually, to be fair and sarcasm aside, Hart looks like he was actually better than most people give him credit for.

To be brutally honest I'm afraid to say I've never really looked at Hart ,his record etc .I know he hold's the title briefly after Jeffries and has that win over JJ ,which in its self is a achievement .I once read he was the Tony Tucker of the early century ?lol Not sure how true or false that is .

I was looking for evidence of how crap he was in some or other argument and found that people actually rated him pretty highly back then. 28-7-4 was his record with 20 ko's. He beat Jack Johnson, O'Brien, Choynski and Root. That's not too bad. Here's the description of the JJ fight:

Marciano has T-Tex arms, marked up, and is around 60lbs lighter than Fury.

It’s completely laughable to think it would even be competitive. It would be less competitive than Cunningham vs. Fury.

I totally agree. Its been brought up a million times but here we go again.

Fury can take lots of punishment, Fury has excellent ring generalship, Fury feints extremely well to deter his opponent and lastly his height and weight advantage over a fighter like Marciano would be too much.

I'd favor him narrowly at best -if at all - over Baer, Moorer, Briggs, and Sharky.

I'm not convinced he'd necessarily be trouble for anyone. I could easily see Tyson or Lewis blasting him out early (though he also might outpoint Tyson) and I'd bet the farm on prime Ali or Holmes to beat him by a pretty one-sided decision.
