Last round Cotto vs. Margarito II

    Who really thinks Margarito was coming on to pull out a victory? Does anyone think he really was coming on enough to get the W over the last 3 rounds if it continued?

    I saw some posts here talking about this **** 2 months ago. That guy said Margarito was going to take out Cotto in round 10. So ridiculous!:lol:

    Cotto was starting to really dig in that ass. Just because Margo has some kind of unheard of thresh hold for pain doesn't mean that **** didn't need stopped.

    For some reason people like to think that Margarito was not a good win for Cotto when it definitely was. Cotto dominated the entire fight Margarito was not coming back.

    I would have liked to see the final couple of rounds as well. I don't think Margarito was doing much damage. He may have been connecting more, but nothing to cause Cotto issues. Whether Cotto was tired or not, I don't think he was so tired he would have been worthless either.

    As far as Mayweather/Ortiz, my opinion is that it wouldn't have been much different the rest of the way, but I really would love to see a rematch. I'm one of the few that would love to see it.

    I think Cotto would of won a UD! Pedro Diaz had a good gameplan for Miguel, his foot work was working very well!

    I think Floyd would of won a UD.. He was doing good in the middle of the ring. It would of been a very exciting fight and "Vicious" would of had his moments !

    I was a Vicious fan until the 24/7 and I started looking at him differently. But he'll, I don't know the guy personally so it don't matter. Not a Margarito fan at all and never was. Cotto, not really a fan, but do appreciate his ability. He's good for the sport. Hell, Ortiz too, and def good to get a good laugh at listening to him long enough.

    that's the same fight i was watching. i thought that at the end cotto was starting to sit on his punches and able to push margarito around cause he (margarito) had nothing in him.

    Well the highlight of that particular theory was when Cotto kept saying "look at my face now" as if he didn't really take any damage in the fight.

    He was definitely coming on strong, but I dont think he had enough time to get the stoppage like the last fight.

    Mostly scuffmarks. I saw him a week later in PR and his face looked fine.

    it was completely differant to the 1st fight.

    Margarito landed so many harder shots in the 1st fight. and had him wobbled a number of times. THe scores reflecting that with Margarito eventually taking the lead on most peoples score cards at the time of the stoppage.

    In this fight Cotto won every single round. Out landed him by wide margins every round. Stopped margo in his tracks a couple of times.
    Even the last round i believe cotto outlanded him 2 to 1. Margo upped the pressure but barely laned.

    I'd still rather see it continue. I get why they stopped it. Margo could no onger see out of one eye.

    But still I feel like someone like margo should have a differant set of rules to everyone else. I wish it would have carried on.

    I'm still 95% sure it would have ended with cotto winning the remaining rounds.
