This doesn't mean much when it's universallly accepted that Floyd ducked Cotto and Margo....and now Pac.

floyd did not fight cotto or margo when they were coming off good wins. instead, he had his phony retirement. now he chooses a fighter off a good win but we all know he beats easily.

Its a universally accepted myth, because people don't like Floyd.

Its crystal clear, that there was no duck, but rather Floyd making 10's of millions more by not signing that Bull**** contract that Arum offered. Arum even admitted that Floyd had no problem accepting the fights but that he wanted more money.

The fact that Floyd went on to get way more gargantuan paydays, then what he asked Arum to give him, proves that he correctly gaged his earning power and stardom and that Arum being a cheap ******* is what prevented Marg and Cotto from getting schooled.

and oscar three 402 punches against pacquiao in 8 rounds. if you translate it for 12 rounds, oscar would have thrown the same amount of punches maybe even more if you will follow the rate.

all those delahoya punches were somewhat weak flurries that would not dent floyd and is just to try to steal rounds at the end of the rounds. roach has felt it during his training camp with oscar.

link of round by round compubox, all i can see is summary. again even if oscar was stii punching, most of them are just jabs or weak flurries. hardly the stinging punches that a prime oscar could do.

other than being bothered by mayorga's unothodox style for 2 to 3 rounds, cotto dominated mayorga and stopped him good.

margarito was the proper fight for back then but we all know that oscar wants an easy fight because he knew he can't handle someone like margo back then. don't make it out like it was the same oscar who fought trinidad and mosley. there's a reason aside from money why he will fight pacquiao and not margarito.

cotto smashed mayorga, i can't see anyone who have watched the fight disputing this. and who have smashed clottey? even pacquiao couldn't do it. and the fight with margo was actually a good showcase of cotto's skill for the first 6 rounds. that version of margarito would have smashed the same oscar that floyd fought.

we all know that reach is a factor but it does not always decides a fight. mosley has several inches on cotto and look what happened. what's more important is that it was a peak/prime cotto and that oscar was past-it already. his last 3 fights, floyd, forbes and pac doesn't show that oscar can do all these things you are trying to say.

No, the logic is missing there, and I don't think too many believe that.

It's Floyd who has come up with the extraordinary demands, not Pac.

Fight would have gone down ages ago, had Floyd not tried to change the rules.

    Floyd fears Pac.

with just one, maybe....with 2 of them, hmmm.....now with 3, it's a pattern. What these 3 present to Floyd is real risk.

...and let's not forget Tszyu, Casa and especially the Winky callout where Winky accepted the fight and rehydration clause.

cotto lost 3 rounds max and 2 of them could have been even. cotto dominated mayorga. and it was not an injury stoppage, cotto hit him good and mayorga acted out like he injured his hand or something.

what oscar? the same oscar who was barely 1.5 years from his retirement fight against a jr welter in forbes and a light weight in pacquiao? oscar knew well to retire after these fights and just concentrate on promoting.

Don't be so obtuse, don't you see they're all Top Rank fighters. Arum tried to lowball the **** out of the Floyd, Floyd walked and went on to make way more Money then what Arum was offering him. Now Arum doesn't like Floyd and tries to sully his reputation. If you wanted to see Top Rank fighters get boxing lessons, then you should blame Bob Arum for his business practices.

Floyd was with TR during Tszyu, Casa, Winky and Margo's time. Floyd left TR during the times when Arum wanted to put him up against Margo.

....Floyd also made Arum change the money split when Winky (with Gary Shaw) accepted the fight and the rehydration limit demanded by Floyd.

Sooner or later you just have to come to grip of reality....there's a pattern in Floyd's decision making.

maybe not smashed but i honestly see that the cotto of 2007 would of beat oscar back in that time frame. all i can see that would trouble cotto is oscar's size and reach (jab). even without roach's comment, oscar was slipping fast by that time. i can see cotto's movement pulling it off with a decision win just like the mosley fight. cotto has been severely underrated for the past two years just because he lost to margo and pacquiao who both coincidentally are relentless and does have high workrate which oscar does not possess already by that time.

prime for prime oscar, but that version of oscar was just 1.5 years from his retirement fight.

I don't want to get in to arguments where *****s accuses pac of being on roids and pac not wanting to fight floyd. I have talked to real people and majority of them actually goes to boxing gyms. Those folks are laughing at floyd for not wanting the fight. the funny thing is that floyd received far more harsh criticism from the african american community. The latinos don't really give a **** about floyd. The brothers laugh at floyd for accusing pac of using roids.
