Spence is far better than Fulton.

Whilst I rate Bud's win over Spence higher, because he got the stoppage, I'd put Usyk taking Joshua's titles up there, and there were similar parallels to what some of the less savvy boxing fans - on here and elsewhere - were saying: 'AJ's too big, will steam-roller the puny cruiser etc'.
Both of these fights show that 'skills pay the bills' and ring IQ and the ability to be unerringly accurate and hit your opponent with jabs & counters they don't see coming will make even the best of fighters doubt themselves. I saw similar expressions on Spence and AJs face when getting clipped that clearly communicated 'how the **** is this guy catching me like that?'

Personally I think Usyk's 2nd victory over AJ was his better performance, as that was - IMO - the best that Joshua we've ever seen, he elevated every aspect of his game but still wasn't enough, because Usyk could elevate his too.

That's why Bud is special - you can't really see where his ceiling is, he can just do things in there that are incredibly difficult - even for the elite - and make it look effortless; and that's special.

And IMO that is 100% why you need "the best fighting the best" - because that is the only way to show us - and the fighters - what their ceiling really is.

It's why Bivol vs Beterbiev & Fury vs Usyk should be happening, but as yet have not materialised, and all fight fans should be demanding those bouts - so we can see where the ceilings are; e.g. I don't think we have ever really seen Bivol in full on 1st gear the best he can be; and that's why we need the Beterbiev fight, because I'm damn sure he would need to hit his ceiling to win that one. Same deal for Usyk/Fury

There are plenty. People are acting like this is a prime Spence now?

Inoue beat Donaire when he was 36.

Crawford's best win is drained car crash victim

No. You just don’t know why because you don’t keep up with those divisions.

    Fulton was a +300 underdog.

    Spence was half that.

    Not the same thing.

The last accomplishment I can think of on this Level is maybe Pac vs Cotto or Pac vs MAB.

A smaller, older, fighter demolishing a younger, bigger, undefeated top 5 p4p champion that's near not totally past prime. That's just so extremely rare.

And Spence would have an L if he was "the opponent" and Porter was "the star".

Inoue's win is super impressive because he was moving up and fighting the no1 guy right away whereas Bud has been a full fledged WW fighting the no2. Great victories either way but it's impossible to legitimately discredit Inoue's just cause you root for the other guy. So stop it.
