Last word on Povetkin-Whyte for the weekend...a thanks to the fighters

Like everyone, this Covid thing has got me down, and its seems like the hard times are just compounding for everyone. Sick friends and family, lurking fear, boredom, economic disaster, depression, lack of access to services...and we don't even have a lot of boxing on to keep us distracted.

Thanks to Sascha and the Villain for making this fight. For the first time in months, I felt a little bit normal having a quality heavyweight fight to talk some trash about. Dillion did not have to make it and risk his #1 spot, and Povetkin did not have to take it considering that he seemed to be winding down his career. But they did, and it was a great fight.

I picked Povetkin, but I know that Dillion will be back. He deserves to have a shot, he still had a great run of fights, and his fans should be proud. He will contend another day.

Rematch in December! Povetkin's promoter says he wants it.
