I'll be honest, I haven't really kept up with Usyk, but I kinda was of the impression as long as Joshua doesn't gas mid fight, he should win handily.
I agree that after Marciano Layne wasn’t the same. But! But he was on a bit of a good stretch and the winner was going to get a title shot so I’m assuming it was a pretty good Layne that showed up. But def true he gave up training seriously after. Either way Lastarza looked good that fight
No. Usyk is really good. The size difference is the only thing that is keeping Joshua relevant here. Usyk clobbered Joe Joyce in a super series so he's fought these big guys before. Joshua will likely box conservatively from behind the jab and try to pick his moments to land something big. If it goes the distance he's got the home judges so why take chances? Great call. He may have been a bit more dominant than you expected but if the fight was close he may well have lost that decision as you alluded to.
