    Roland beats him handily in my opinion. Don was a tough game fighter but Roland is just a far better boxer. Technically miles ahead.

    I'm gonna go with the theory that Marciano so mauled Roland that he was never the same again. Yeah, that's my angle. Sounds like a good one!

    You’re aware that they ACTUALLY fought in 1954 and that cockell won ? That’s what the thread is about to analyze the fight...... Not a fantasy match

    this is part of the problem with inaccurately accessing Non American fighters... the automatic assumption that the Yanks were just better. WRONG and right, in context!

    right, generally speaking, WRONG, in that the TOP Fighters from elsewhere, were just as good or better.

    that impulsive post demonstrates that unfortunate set of analyses, Wrong and a Shame for the thousands of great Non American fighters over 150 years of Boxing History.
