I would say that Tito is greater than Winky personally, but i suppose it's all about what light you look at it in determining the perspective

One perspective would be that Winky was able to have some success or fight more competitively in the upper weight classes, whereas Tito with exception of Mayorga was shutout in all his higher weight fights, and I think Tito's one dimensional style worked for him because he was really strong at 147. Once his power was on par with a bigger fighter, he almost looked oridinary.

It is possile to say that Trinidad was the best of his era in a particular weight class more definitively than the same can be said of Wright imo. I'm talking Trinidad at 147 and Wright at 154. Even though i had Oscar beating Tito, when all is weighed up between he two, i think that Trinidad has a great chance to be labelled the best of that era's welterweights. Whereas Winky Wright at 154 lost to Harry Simon (a good fighter i admit, but not an Oscar), the Vargas one (close fight), and then seemed to dominate a weaker era, Shane Mosley would be his best win at 154, and Shane was effectively not a major player at that weight imo, seen as though i had him losing to De La Hoya there.

Also at their absolute bests, which was 154 for each fighter, it's hard to say who was effectively better, regardless of dimensional limitations, i give it to Tito by a hair, it's just an opinion and hard to say as they are world's apart stylistically.

Imo when all is said and done, on the topic of greatness, which is what i brought up, i think Tito is greater than Winky.

But like i said i can understand a little if someone ranks Winky above him, i never would though.

I would only rank Winky higher based on their entire careers, but yes, Tito at 47 was a better fighter than Winky at 54.
