I realise I'm quoting a post from ages ago but haven't logged on for a while! Think you summed it up - don't hate the guy, can only respect what he has achieved. But I don't root for him either. He just doesn't give rise to any feeling or empathy in me. Hard to explain why but it seems most people on here feel like that. Why is that? He really has done well with his career and the guts / resolve he showed against Klitschko was fantastic. I genuinely don't care whether he wins the rematch apart from it would be amazing to see fury v Josh for the titles in the UK. A lot of boxers talk bollox so not sure why I feel that way about him but because he feels so insincere I can't warm to him. Mad respect for what he has achieved though, can't take that away from him.

Yep. He should have looked at some fast Cruiserweights and Heavyweights with legit fast hands to emulate Ruiz’s speed. Not some chubby checker yank to emulate Ruiz’s “blob” physique as @chico g would say.

AJ came in lighter vs Parker and i was most unimpressed. I dont see AJ running backwards winning a 12 round fight off a pitter pat jab. Ruiz isnt lazy and passive like Parker and at some point hes going to catch up to Joshua.

They needed to tighten Joshua up on the inside and send him forward. Short sharp combos, then grab and lean and manhandle. Hes a 6'6" man mountain with massive power he should not be running and getting hunted down by a fat mexican.

 

This fella might have the body of Ruiz but is much too slow to replicate him.

 

With all the talk of shorter sparring partners for AJ, I think the dude who recently beat Izu Ugonou would be a decent sparring partner. Rozanski I think his name is, short fat dude with quick hands and applies good pressure.
