i saw a arum interview the other day that said arum was pleased to keep chavez jnr fighting low level but competitive journeymen on ppv all over mexico as he gets good crowds/entertainment and ppv doing so and sees no need to move him up.

IMO it is and should be obviuos to everyone at world class top level chavez jnr only has a punchers chance as he has limited defense and abilty.

he is being milked by arum, wisely IMO as he is not world class in any aspect of boxing, albeit he has respectable punching power .

i do like his fights, he is prepared to take one to give one and at his level he is entertaining as long as arum does not try to pass his fights off as world class , which IMO he does not .

I was shocked and amused at the same time. Manny Pac is fighting for the 140 Title. Manny is #1 P4P and JCC Jr. is so far below that level is isnt even humorous. Bob Arum is exhibiting signs of oncoming dementia. Duddy in late June, and a November Showdown with the Golden Panties would be a hell of a year for Jr. and two easy wins.

At this point, Chavez Jr. is READY for a World Title shot, against someone like washed up Vernon Forrest. Or John Duddy for some kind of minor Title, like the IBA or IBO. He is certainly ready for the hollowed out corpse of Oscar de la Hoya, but I feel that Oscar de la Hoya, still recovering from rectal suturing after his beating at the hands of Manny Pacquiao wants no part of Chavez Jr, who lacks in experience, but makes up for with left hook power and youth. But the World wants to see Chavez fight against another well known fighter for a Title. No more corpses from Argentina.
