Given the ammount of face bloat Haye has had in the last few years, drug testing would be a bad idea. Dianabol ftw.

Can we please do away with this drug/steroid BS? There are plenty of ways to discredit both fighters and enough reasons not to like either of them.

Drugs is not one of them.

Germany where the fight would most likely be has recently added more stringent drug testing. it is stricter than in the US.

This whole 'tougher testing' you are asking for is moot if the fight is in Germany.

From what I've heard, he was injured, took drugs from a doctor who wasn't a sports specialist and whatever he was given was an illegal substance. Whether or not this is true, it is a plausible scenario

Bear in mind this happened when he was an amateur in the mid 90s

This all started with that 'thing' calling itself Swann making a backhand accusation against Wlad. Then someone said Haye's weight gain would more fit the bill. Just let it drop.

And people have been busted for less. Like allergy medicines that contain banned substances. I understand the need to keep sports clean, but geez.

This was probably more than 15 years ago or so, during his amateur days. Bear in mind he is involved in politics in the Ukraine - an Eastern European country. The old steroids story is probably nothing people get excited about in a country where theft, bribery and blackmailing is part of everyday political life.

Yep. One of our athletes was barred from taking part in the last Winter Olympics but one for using a nasal spray.

What's the point of bringing up drug tests. If anyone looks more suspicious it would be Haye. Wlad has always been a heavyweight and always comes in around the same weight. Not to mention Haye's face and body looks puffy sometimes, which can be caused from steroids. But even then there's no evidence to accuse Haye of using steroids either. This whole subject should be dropped. And if they both get tested I'm sure they'll probably both pass them. Let's just hope that this fight gets made so that all the fans get to see a fight that they really want to see.:good
