Ortiz fights American bums, fighting Ortiz would be a massive backward step for Whyte

Ortiz is largely unknown and has no fanbase. He doesn't bring TV money. That's the problem.

True if he beats Breazeale he becomes mandatory and likely gets a title shot in 2019 vs Wilder at some point. Beating Ortiz would only secure his position 2nd in line after Breazeale. If Whyte's motivation is to get a title shot then Breazeale is clearly the fight he should be aiming for.

Why doesnt Ortiz just fight Joyce like he should have done the last card instead of them both fighting walk overs? Earn it. There you go. A fight that is a piece of cake to be made for both guys that will elevate the winner into the position they want to be.

That's why he is no longer "fight anyone!".
Whyte finally broke through. He is among the top of the division while making a lot of money.

Same **** happened to Thurman and happens to most guys who make it to the top.

If he's this 50 year old grandpa, surely then it's an easy nights work with a great name on your cv.

Says more about those fighters who are terrified of an alleged 50 year old man.

Whyte was ducking Ortiz, Pulev before he made it to the top.

He went through the path of least resistance fighting men who he was 80/20 favourite against.

Why would Whyte fight an old out of shape fighter with only one notable win to his name that has no fan base?

Whyte chose to fight Parker (a former WC who the UK public know of and who has more of a proven record than Ortiz). Then Whyte chose to rematch Chisora ( a guy who has just as good of a career best win as Ortiz does) who is a far bigger name with UK fans and would earn him more money.

Yeah, ducked Ortiz for Parker  How the **** do you classify that as a duck?
And he then capped off the year with win over Chisora, who arguably got robbed in the first fight.

And how can you blame Whyte for not wanting to fight in Bulgaria? Pulev has some big money backing him Blugaria, why risk it? Especially for a shot at Joshua, a fight that will always be on the table.

Whyte has been brought up carefully, but they also took a huge risk with Parker. And then they reaped the rewards with the Chisora rematch.
Whyte isn´t running from challenges, hes just being smart about it.

He didnt swerve pulev it was a 75-25 cut in pulevs favour and fighting in bulgaria and he rightly so decided he was worth more than that. Fighting parker for a **** load of money instead of figgting pulev for pennies is a very wise decision, parker is not a step down from pulev either

His name wouldn't be bad on Whytes resume I will give you that (I also agree it would be a good fight)

My point is, look at Ortiz resume. If he deserved a title shot on the back of that, surely Whyte deserves one based on his year.

He shouldnt have to fight Ortiz to get a title shot. Brezeale as a final eliminator makes more sense

Ortiz had his chance and he blew it. *(As in for a title shot when Wilder sparked him, not for a shot at fighting a contender)

Just to reiterate, Whyte called Ortiz out twice on Twitter with a TBA ready to fill in the last year. Ortiz called his bluff twice and guess what happened? The man is a coward.

"He didn't swerve Pulev, he elected to walk away from a final eliminator and fight someone entirely different in a fight which wasn't an eliminator instead"

Oh, okay then. Maybe Whyte should get someone better to work on those purse bids then.
