Latin Fury 15: Chavez vs. Duddy RBR

Raul Martinez vs. Gabriel Elizondo up now, and both look to be in good shape.

 

Round 1

Martinez aggressive, coming behind a jab. Elizondo walking the perimeter, defensive. Martinez rushes in near the end of the round and opens up for the first time, flashing fast hands at Elizondo and forcing him to hedgehog.

10-9 RM

 

Round 2

Martinez comes out fast, standing in front of Elizondo. He looks to be waiting for Elizondo to make a mistake. Martinez lands a low blow, and Elizondo is hurt but doesn't take long to recover after the referee calls timeout. Martinez with fast jabs, hooks, and rights to the body. Elizondo making it a footrace. Martinez catches him with a right on the circle. Martinez conserving motion, jumping in and whacking the body and getting out. The ref gets in his face about another low blow, final warning before a point deduction. Elizondo now strafes quickly around Martinez and flicks the jab. Martinez doesn't rush him, instead of just turning and watching.

 

Round 3

Martinez hurts Elizondo right away with a high right hand, and explodes on him. Elizondo wriggles free and keeps a wide swath as he circles. Martinez jabs at him, walking through light counter fire to land on Elizondo. Elizondo trying to deter Martinez with quick 1-2's but Martinez keeps coming at him. Another right hand up high hurts Elizondo. He switches directions a few times and keeps Martinez focused on moving and keeping up with him instead of punching. Martinez bangs him on the ropes and Elizondo grabs ahold of him. Right uppercut to the body from Martinez. Then a few more, as Elizondo counters with the left. Elizondo now flurries like a madman but Martinez just puts up his forearms and lets him go nuts.

 

Round 4

Martinez keeping on Elizondo, who is now standing and exchanging with him a bit, mostly wild slapping, desperate but effective in keeping Martinez at least partially blinded by his gloves. Martinez still throwing fast and hard, no signs of stamina decrease. Martinez with a clean sweep so far.
