Round 5

Elizondo cut above the eye from a headbutt. Physician dabs with gauzez and nods him on. They touch gloves, and Martinez goes back to wailing on him. Jabs to the face and right hands to the side of the neck from Martinez. Elizondo with a full-power 1-2 narrowly misses landing flush on Martinez, and he eats a right hand. Elizondo now keeping his hands moving, jabbing and countering with the right over the steady attacks of Martinez. Elizondo goes down from what may have been a body shot - unclear without replay. Martinez comes back at him when he gets up and unloads but can't take him out as Elizondo goes defensive.

 

Round 6

Martinez continues to clobber Elizondo from various angles, and then begins to clown...sticking his chin out and putting both hands behind his back, slipping some of Elizondo's punches and ignoring others. Elizindo takes a right hand, then walks into a jab, kissing leather every few seconds, but bringing the fight to Martinez. Elizondo down RIGHT AT THE BELL - crashing down. He beats the count and returns to his corner.
