    Round 3

Fuentes now evading, Barron trying to catch him with hooks high or low. The stream is now choppy, and now dead.

Back up! Most of round 3 and all of round 4 were missed.

    Round 5

Barron confidently plants a flag in the middle of the ring and starts working a jab. You wouldn't know he was the journeyman expected to lose here from the body language. Nobody told him. Oops, down he goes as I say that. He looks more embarrassed than hurt and gets up, going right at Fuentes. Fuentes hits him with a couple of jabs and one right hand to the forehead and Barron staggers back on his heels slightly, still with his guard help up. It's inexplicably waved off. :blood

The only way that makes sense is if Fuentes had done some serious damage in the previous round or two. Out of context this stoppage looks ridiculous. The knockdown itself was not from anything exceptional, just a light barrage that shoved Barron down more than anything.

More light welterweights have entered the ring.

James Cantu vs. Antonio Gamez - neither of them is legally old enough to drink.

    Round 1

Cantu looks heavy-handed - a grazing blow above the eyebrow has Gamez veering as far away as possible at full speed. Gamez dancing quickly on his feet, jabbing carefully. Cantu just sizes him up with a jab and then drives home a right hand to the cheek of Gamez, landing incredibly hard for how far back he threw it from. Cantu slowly cuts off the ring as Gamez circles well clear of him. Gamez flicks a jab and tries to sneak in a few point-scorers to the body as well. Cantu explodes out of his relaxed poise with a few power punches that have Gamez skittering away.

    10-9 Cantu
