Round 1 Beeman is on the move, and Benavidez keeping up with him easily. The first big body shot that lands has Beeman on his face. IT'S OVAH! Liver shot? :think
Didnt need to mess around throwing combos like most prospects. One perfectly placed shot does the trick
Yeah, you're right. The placement looked like a typical liver shot, though. I wonder why it was such devastating blow, then. He didn't seem to load up too much.
This is, I believe, the LAST non-televised undercard bout: Emanuel Ledezma vs. Nelson Ramos - middleweights.
Round 1 Ledezma aggressive, quadruple hooking at Ramos and blocking with his right hand. Ramos moves away and throws a slick combination. Both are defending well, and nothing much landing. When they get close it gets ugly but the ref doesn't need to get involved, they infight their way free. Ledezma lands a jab but eats a right hand, not flush though. They settle into more of a boxing pattern on the outside, Ramos with the quick feet darting in and out and Ledezma hanging back, trying to time him. Ledezma punches with his back to the ropes, and Ramos zips to either side of him. Nonstop two-way action, but nobody getting hit too cleanly.
