Round 2

Ramos comes out firing, and Ledezma trades with him. Ledezma down but it's ruled a slip. Ramos works the body with both hands. Ledezma so much slower of foot, can barely keep himself turned in Ramos' direction. Ledezma does time a nice hook on the chin of Ramos, who keeps buzzing around him and peppering shots. Ledezma catches him again with a 1-2 that has Ramos lean on him, starting a clinch. Ramos drives Ledezma toward the ropes but Ledezma punches out some distance and turns the corner before getting trapped. A couple of hard hooks from Ledezma drive Ramos back. Ramos smothers Ledezma and pushes him to the ropes. Ledezma scoring with the jab. Now Ramos answering with his own and scoring. They clinch and Ramos jabs Ledezma in the face on the break but the ref doesn't see it. Ramos leans his head on Ledezma's shoulder and bangs him blind to the body. Ledezma with a HARD 1-2 to the jaw.

These rounds are so fast-paced and so evenly matched, the judges in this one have a shitty job tonight.

Round 3

Ramos circling. Ledezma warily turning, guard up. Ramos jabs and fires right hands down at the neck of the shorter Ledezma. Ledezma waits in a wrestler pose trying to grab Ramos as he jumps in. They wind up back in the center of the ring and exchange lunging power shots. Ledezma now pressing the advantage, snapping Ramos' head back with a few right hands and left hooks. Ramos shoves into him and the ref warns him to keep punches up. Ramos misses a lunging hook. Body work from Ramos. Ledezma jabs and quickly sidesteps Ramos as he comes in. Ledezma on to something now with the jab and the quick step to the side, Ramos not ad******g to it just yet. They get close and it's ugly, a lot of elbows and forearms. Ledezma resumes the jab-and-step. Ramos comes at him with pendulous body shots. More jab and step from Ledezma.

That's the easiest round to score (10-9 for Ledezma) and it was still pretty close.

Round 4

Ramos with jabs and uppercuts to the body. Ledezma covering up and waiting his turn, then throwing the one-two as Ramos pulls out instead of countering while he's working. This is the slowest-paced round yet, but still pretty fast relatively. Ledezma goes to his jab and step. Ramos keeps tapping the body. They infight a bit, messy. Jab and step from Ledezma. Ramos misses a sequence of punches as Ledezma turns and blocks. Ledezma rolling, ducking, and squirming. Ramos eats a jab and uppercut combination. Ledezma countering well this round. Jab lands, then another uppercut.

Easily Ledezma's round.

The liver is on the right side of the body but the punch landed on the left side of the body.

 

Looking forward to seeing Raul Martinez. I feel he is still a really good prospect despite the Donaire loss. He's still young and can work his way back.

Got a LOT of undercards to go through first. I'd say 2 hours.

Yeah Martinez is a good fighter. I can't understand people criticizing Donaire saying he's only fighting bums. Mthalane is another good Donaire win.
