Two fighters with great endurance. "El Radar" against the "Tijuana Tornado" Pressure style against a great Counterpuncher. 15 Rounds.

Benitez embarrases Margarito for 5 or 6 rounds then takes him out, too good of skillset and far too quick and elusive

Benitez in an incredibly lopsided score of 196-131

Margo's way too slow and methodical. He'd play right into Benitez's strengths, plodding forward trying to overwhelm Wilfredo to no avail. Benitez would box circles around Margarito toward a UD.

Although Margarito has a high volume output. he would be hardpressed to land on Benitez. Wilfred is slick & counters beautifully. But with his back constantly against the ropes, Margarito would have some success. But overall Wilfred is too much and lands counterpunches all night to a Unanimous Decision win.

Benitez would totally outbox Margarito, and late on force him back to the ropes and crack him like he did Maurice Hope.

    Benitez KO 11.

Wilfred Benitez, with that cocky smirk on his face, would have the radar on, and would put on a master class against Marg...echoing previous posts..he would totally outclass the hapless Mexican and very possibly would put him out of his misery like he did Maurice Hope.

Margarito does do well against boxers i want to say here, the best way to beat him is to beat him in the pocket, and outclass him because you are better than him, outpunch him even. Going into defensive mode, most boxers get overpowered and ****ed up badly. But anyway i still pick Benitez because he is better, and going to the ropes he would find the shots that do the scoring.

LMAO at Benitex shutting out or stopping Margarito when he scraped SDs/MDs against Palomino/Bruce Curry/Cervantes. Margarito is hard fight for anyone with his 100punches a round, size, strength, chin, let alone a lazy shoulder roller like Benitez.

I pick Benitez in this but it would be a hard close fight for him

Benitez would probably stop Margarito. Even though he didn't have great power, Margo is too easy to hit and always come forward and absorbs lots of punishment. Wilfred was a very effective offensive fighter when he back was against the ropes with his opponents attacking him. Benitiz would counter Tony to death and probably bust his face up.

Benitez via shut out is the only possible outcome.

Palomino???? For one he's three times as good as Margarito, just as durable, and more powerful (without requiring plaster wraps)

Yes. Palimino was a FAR better skilled technician than Marg. And still... Benitez beat Palimino pretty clearly. Anphonio is too slow for El Radar. Wilfred would keep him in center ring and make him look like a novice for 15 rounds.

Agreed. Cotto started to expose Marg; pinpoint punching and speed. Mosley took it further, ading in clinches. Benitez would do all of that with better ring generalship and defence IMO, easy win and probable stoppage.
