Your classic boxer vs. puncher affair. I think AMarg certainly has a puncher's chance. But being this is at WW, I'll say Wilfred edges out a close UD, esp. if Margo doesn't have cement in his gloves.

 

I don't believe Margarito to be that big of a puncher. Agree that it depends on whether he has dodgy wraps:good

 

Benitez would spank him quite easily.

Over 15 a mercy stoppage is very likely given the schooling Marga will be on the end of.

But Ill say Wilfred coasts his way to a 12-3 kind of decision...with the odd round being hard going for him as Tony throws the kitchen sink in desperation.

 

Without the plaster(/s) benitez by ud , maybe even a very late (13-15)
stoppage.

 

I think the whole issue regarding plaster is overrated. Has anyone actually worked with plaster of paris.... from putting the powder into the wraps and allowing sweat to cause the chemical reaction, by the time of the fight the material would almost be like a soft, cohesive clay, hardly any difference.... as the thickness in relation to surface area would be jack ****.

I'd give Margarito a chance in this one certainly, but I'd say Benitez has too much for him technically, he wouldn't gas like Cotto did and would be willing to clinch also.

Benitez would not only win, but make it look easy in doing so.

 

Benitez would outclass Margarito and then put his lights out. Margarito does not have the skills to compete with Benitez even with loaded gloves.
