I'm not expecting 1 million PPV buys for Cain v JDS.. But wait and see.. Hispanics will cover that before long if he wins his first title defense.

I don't think this will stop the Lesnar gravey train, I'm seeing Lesnar/Mir 3 happening next and if Brock wins that another title shot after JDS.

    Correction. Mexican-American fans.

I don't think Mexicans living in Mexico will quite accept him as their own i.e. De La Hoya never being able to move out of the way of Chavez's shadow..

The worst part for Dana is that Brock obviously won't be around for much longer, he could still draw big but he won't want to take many more beatings which he will continue to get.

Cain is legit but he is not in the same universe with Brock when it comes to star power and he isn't some unbeatable monster either. I take JDS over Cain.

The huge Mexican battle Marquez v Barrera done $325,000. I think you are over estimating the Hispanic buy rate

Brown Pride v JDS will top $325k.. Wait for it.

They probably will eventually. Besides, Hispanics are the largest minority group here in the states, I don't think those in Mexico not big on the guy would make that much of a difference in PPV buys.

For crying out loud, the guy has Brown Pride tatted on is chest, Mexicans are gonna like that :p

Almost forgot.. The guy was on Telemundo, Univision or whatever the ****.. He will be all over the news in Mexico and will have returned to some talk and radio shows by this time next week.

    I really don't get it.

HAHAH DANA! One of the fighters on your promotion lost his title to another fighter in your promotion! The fighter who lost was a former WWE fighter who could have very well already brought your promotion tons and tons of new fans! Now, to your great demise, you have a Latino champion who can bring in another entire demographic! Brock will probably continue to fight, but now that he isn't the champion no one will care anymore because in MMA all of the top fighters are undefeated!:huh

The UFC is going to be just fine.

This isn't Elite XC banking everything on one fighter like they did with Kimbo Slice. There's no doubt Brock was very marketable and White would have liked him to win, but the talent pool is extremely deep in the UFC.
Brock Lesnar was never the face of UFC, just one of them.

I'm sure it will too but it'll be about 1/2 of what Lesnar v JDS would have been

This fight proves that it's all about match-ups. Mir who got owned by Lesnar twice beat Kongo in 30 seconds while Cain settled for a decision against Congo. It reminds me of the NFL, you can have a few losses and still win the Superbowl.

But he was and probably still is their biggest star. Brock adds an extra 500k buys to a UFC event.

Cain won't draw nowhere near that if his fight against JDS has weak undercard they will struggle to do 500k buys alone, which is still great but Brock was a massive cross-over draw.
