Just seen her listed on the bill tonight. I completely forgot about her

for an Olympic Gold medalist she sure is under the radar! Why is that?

Never known a Brit Olympic Gold medalist boxer be so unknown

Remember for example Nicola Adams' face was all over TV, adverts, celebrity shows for years after she won Gold.

Nobody cares about women’s boxing because it’s garbage. That’s why.

She's on the front page of BBC Sport today as a "future multi-weight champion".

She seems to crop up on every single Sky Boxxer show.

She's regularly metioned on the Bunce podcast.

All despite only having 6 fights. Tell me a male boxer (other than the likes of Campbell Hatton) given that kind of coverage that early?

I think with Nicola Adams she had a really increased profile as she was one of the first female boxers to really get promoted - plus it was off the back of London 2012 Olympics, which the nation really got swept up in (especially boxing with AJ leading the way).

I went to the Buatsi fight in Birmingham earlier this year when Price was chief support - I was surprised how big her following was that night, there was a couple of blocks that I'm guessing we're there purely for her by the way they were cheering for her and that they left after her fight. I don't think female boxing is a particularly big draw,(Katie Taylor aside) but it would be interesting how her profile could get should she be in world title fights soon. I may have misheard, but sure there was something being said about her fighting the winner of Jonas vs Mayer. That could be a decent fight

My point is I've not seen her for ages until today. Maybe she was buried low down on the undercards or something.

Boxxer have done 13 shows this year and shes been on 4 of them so hardly every show!

For an Olympic Gold medalist she is completely unknown. Most boxing fans probably don't even know who she is, or know very little about her. Compare it to the fame the likes of Nicola Adams and Anthony Joshua got after taking Gold, and it's a world away.

OK, fair comments but at the same time, I meant she seems to be visible at every Boxxer show - sitting in the front row with Artingstall if not boxing.

The 2021 Olympians simply won't get the backing the 2012 ones did because hardly anyone saw them fight. Even the Rio 2016 crowd had a slightly friendlier time zone. And in a sense winning at boxing became routine just like cycling and rowing did, so over time the winners stand out that bit less.

Tell that to Katie Taylor and Chantelle Cameron who fought probably the fight of the year and in front of a packed out crowd

Miss Tippy v Miss Tappy was slapfest of the year with neither able to put a spoon through a plate of custard after being served for 15 minutes.

Completely different sport and event but lacking even 1% of the excitement watching Crocker v McKenna and Gill smashing Conlan last week.

    Fight of the year?

Don't think it would appear anywhere near a top 20 list if we switch off listening to Costello commentating on a 2 runner horse race.

I’ve been a boxing news subscriber for many years. In my opinion it was a sloppy feather fisted slap fest.

The majority on here aren’t interested in women’s boxing.

I know that but just slagging off a really good fight just because they are woman just doesn`t make sense. As i have stated several times on here if you don`t like it don`t watch, simple.Anyway i enjoy it and in fact have bought tickets for the Jonas V Mayer fight in January, really looking forward to it
