    I was thinking he kinda stuck to a gameplan, because Manhoef always puts his hands down after 2 minutes...... but Lawler is going to have problems with that leg.

    Manhoef is a tough fight for anyone who attempts to strike with him because of his speed, the guy is quick. I doubt that was a part of Lawlers game plan, he was being dominated on the feet, I cant see how that would be anyone's game plan.

    Well to some extent, he did.

    His plan was to make not getting punched his biggest priority, which he did, I doubt the getting the **** kicked out of his leg was part of the plan, but covering up while Manhoef swung fairly wildly and then countering was pretty clearly part of the plan.

    Melvin wasn't moving his head, he didn't need to look as he was throwing it, just needed to know where to punch.

    Lawler took a beating, but had an opening, he took it and knocked Manhoef 8 kinds of unconscious.

    lawlers plan worked to perfection. Just as seth petruzelli's plan to K.O Kimbo via a jab also worked to perfection.

    And Lawler naturally saw that Melvin wasnt moving his head even though his head was looking at the mat when he threw the hail mary. Perfect gameplan. Lawlers so good he gets his leg kicked into the 4th row and doesnt even need to look at his opponent anymore.

    lawler was doing the wobbly head thing way before it worked so iam sure his plan was to counter punch, now getting the **** kicked out of his leg? iam sure that wasent part of the plan.

    But to say lawler didnt stick to the plan and was "lucky" is ignorant. if it was the other way around i bet you would be talking bout how great a comeback it was for Melvin. it WAS a great comeback regardless and will be know as one of the great mma comebacks forever.

    :lol::lol:

    Mental fight, but very entertaining. I don't think I've ever seen two fighters that gassed.
