So he's given up the lightly regarded bridger weight title, and is aiming for the heavyweight $$$$. Any thoughts on how he fares?

I think he will be more entertaining as a heavyweight than he was at crusierweight.
I doubt he'll pick up a world title but he can be a contender.

Not sure about his physicality at heavy, sure his power will be ok, but the sheer size and strength of the big boys. But he's been sparring heavies for years.

Surely no money in bridgerweight anyway, might as well give it a go

I think he'll struggle. I'd say he loses to both Wardley and Clarke.

He's packing glass, which is why he avoided heavy for so many years, and fights in his cowardly man-love style.

First good shot he takes in the chin and he's trying to boil down to cruiser again.

I agree. I think he gets smashed to bits at HW.

As everyone here has rightly highlighted this man is packing glass.

He made decent money to be fair to him fighting petrified against guys with massively smaller reach and size than him. On account of his ability to boil down and be a professional in his training.

But I doubt he lasts long at HW, and now promoters are no longer prepared to pay him good money to offer a cure for insomnia.

We probably don’t see much of the lad from now on anyway. He is a prize fighter alright, it’s just that the prize has now become very small.

Like a recent Paper World Heavyweight Champion, he does not like to be hit so it will be triple Octopus tactics.

He actually looks good at times when he lets the punches go but not a good division to be in when one is too worried about his own glass chin.

Where does the glass chin thing come from mate?

Is it from the trade/sparring stories, or just because of the way he fights?

    Both.

The CBS fight tactics show he is totally focussed on not allowing his opponent to throw a punch instead of focussing on landing his own.

He could have won that fight letting his hands go and making CBS worried about his power.

On that fight, how on earth did one judge score that fight a draw?

Hughie The Skirt Fury v Laurence The Octopus Okolie is the obvious fight.

Fight of the century. Turki will surely be willing to pay many millions for this.

Maybe the same judge that had Buatsi Hutchinson even?

But genuinely, has this come out of sparring tales? I actually like Okolie, yes he has been in some awful fights, but he was awfully classy in defeat

Maybe he is being ambitious. Or as i suspect he is looking to cash in (dont blame him). He might even have better punch resistance at HW. He will not need to boil down to make weight. His grab, hold, lean on opponents straregy wont work at HW. He will be outmuscled. I dont think he would beat Wardley or Clarke. But if he gets a good retirement fund thats a result.
