Good fight but as usual with Okolie fights, I'll skip it.

Erislandy Savon had Okolie out of it multiple times in his WSB win over him so I know Okolie isn't iron chinned. Let's hope for a brutal KO loss while he's attempting yet another clinch so he learns to avoid it in future.

I dont see how a title organization can have a title fight lined up then a guy cant make the date so they bring in a short notice sub and it remains for the title

Doesnt pass the smell test for me

I have to say I am really surprised to see Lawrence "Okoliepus" Okolie high up on a major show again. After Chamberlain and Askins, this man should have been permanently sidelined.

He will strangle the life out of any opponent, as the corrupt British referee stands by and lets him get away with illegal holding every single time the fight moves to the inside. Okolipus has no inside game.

It is good that he is fighting at home as the home fighter, because he would not get away with such tactics without getting disqualified, if he was fighting away or fighting on neutral ground.

I have to say I long for an unknown opponent with special infighting techniques and dark arts like Holyfield, who would brutalise and end Okoliepus.

I've never heard of their #3

Doesn't look good and his only amateur fight listed on Boxrec is a stoppage loss

    Ditto for #6 and #9

    I know nothing about #7

#4 Tishchenko would be a good replacement even though he's only 8-0 as would #8 Mchunu, #10 Papin, #11 Cieslak and #14 Egorov. It really should be one of these if we're talking in terms of quality (well at least the ones I'm familiar with)

#13 Riakporhe is a possibility too

To be honest Riakporhe would actually make the most sense. As he is also British and a Londoner and they could market it from the all London clash angle.

Also I would interested to see how someone like Riakporhe would react to Okoliepus. He seems the type prepared to get disqualified himself rather than let himself be hugged to death.

It would but I think Okoliepus is going to be much harder to beat than he should be on paper due to his horrible hugging holding style and leg length arms and he'd stop Riakporhe.

On the potential fight. Riakporhe only just beat Chris Billam Smith (i had him by 1 round). Many thought he lost that. I saw the McCarthy and Hyde fights, and in the Hyde fight particularly that bad eye injury saved him as he was behind on the cards.

I just cant see him having the boxing skill or experience to live with Okoliepus. Okoliepus most likely stops him as you say.
