That kid was hard as nails, solid chin and tremendous heart. I think he would have upset a lot of lesser prospects.

Very game little man, deserved to be spared — you hesitate to say it after what Gill just did, and he was punctuating exchanges here and there, but he would've just taken more whooping for nothing. Stakes weren't high enough to keep him in.
