Hard fight for both, better fight than Chagaev v Skelton was... I am surprised no one has picked up on it.....
It's a great fight and I know it won't be televised over there. I want to see if the skilled, savvy, willing-to-trade bombs Lyakhovich that I saw a few years back against Lamon Brewster is going to show up, or if the gun-shy, totally gassed, pitty-patter from the Shannon Briggs 12th round through-the-ropes KO debacle is going to show up. If it's the former, I think he'll have a chance, as Valuev is slow as molasses running uphill in February. Actually, I placed a very small amount of Vcash on Serguei and much more on the other fight underdog Jermain Taylor... I have 0 Vcash now but that's not important - if I come to miss both predictions, then I'll know I will have a poor case discussing future matters related with boxing.
there are 6 hours difference between german and new york time normaly in germany boxing events in TV are starting between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM german time (in german 22:00-23:00)
I wish this fight was on TV myself, Valuev is going to get knockout in this one, Liakhovich has problems with taller/bigger fighters than him in the ring. Liakhovich only real hope is to get on the inside of Valuev and land some of his monster body shots. Valuev is very weak when get on the inside of him, he usually just puts his arms up and waits for the ref to break the clinch. I still feel however that Liakhovich is gun shy and will be afraid of the giant Valuev, I see Valuev catching him with something big in the middle rounds, leading to a knockout/TKO.
