    Round 6

McCarter is starting to regain her timing & composure as she lines up straight & tear-drop counter right hands on Reynoso while circling away. Constant pressure from Reynoso, landing body shots and nudging jabs into McCarter's throat. Reynoso landing in multiples on the flanks every time she dives in. McCarter has the counter right dialed in but can't shake Reynoso.

    10-9 Reynoso, close

    58-56 McCarter

    Round 7

McCarter is getting dragged into brawls in the corners & by the ropes as Reynoso stomps in on her. McCarter is just barely escaping with her trusty default weapon, the 1-2, but her footing was much surer earlier and she is squaring up a bit more rigidly now, sinking her rear heel to ensure that she has the purchase to fire her shots now, her body language decreasing in confidence, more often questioning herself, brow furrowed in consternation, but she is managing to lay more leather on Reynoso than she's allowing to be imported.

    10-9 McCarter, close

    68-65 McCarter

    Round 8

McCarter is keeping Reynoso at bay with the 1-2 and lead right, imposing an invisible barrier past which Reynoso can not gain an inch. Reynoso strapping the body when she dives in, hitting between the brassiere and trunks of McCarter at will, but all her spirited headhunting is for naught. McCarter is tracking her with the quick left jab while strafing in either direction, then planting her feet and cutting loose with the right when Reynoso comes flying at her.

    10-9 McCarter

    78-74 McCarter

    Round 9

McCarter is trading uppercuts and overhands inside, messy brawls whenever they are in the embracing zone, but all McCarter with the jab when contested on the outside. Reynoso doing lots of grabbing and hitting on the break, for which she got a warning from Weeks as the eighth drew to a close. Should be a point taken if she keeps doing it. Violent hacking flurries by Reynoso, but McCarter still countering well.

    10-9 McCarter, although she's huffing & puffing...

    88-83 McCarter

Same score. I thought McCarter edged the sixth, but I had Reynoso winning the 4th, so we arrive through slightly different methods.

    Round 10

McCarter is bending to her right, head rolling under Reynoso's noodle-armed 1-2s, butting her in the armpit while bucking her body sidelong against Reynoso's. More rough clinches by Reynoso, shaking and rag-dolling McCarter and then releasing her with a cheeky parting hit, for which Tony Weeks finally docks her a point. Reynoso keeps pressuring and flailing at McCarter with both hands, to head and body. McCarter performs a mixture of countering with stalling & spoiling tactics in the final half-minute, folding herself in half and cross-checking Reynoso below the boobs.

    10-8 McCarter

    98-91 McCarter

This is, for Amazing Layla, career victory #43 - and #32 by decision - and her twentieth in a row since her last defeat in April 2007. (by MD against Melissa Hernández, against whom McCarter is 3-1 lifetime...)

Yeah - for the uninitiated, since I'm sure a few people were raising eyebrows at somebody with a 14-3-3 (3) mark being the headliner - Cameron Alexander "Suave" Kreal, a Filipino-Hawaiian signed with TMT, is MUCH better than his record suggests. He isn't a big puncher, but fights his guts out every time and has been in a few show-stealers if not FOTY contenders.

Say what you will about Mayweather...As a promoter, he's willing to ride with guys even after they suffer a loss or two on their record. Badou Jack is the prime example of that, but Krael is as well, at least to a lesser extant.

    Round 1

Odhiambo advances, looking to battering-ram the front gate with his jab. Lowered-drawbridge rights from a high guard by Odhiambo. Krael stays in a Philly shell, nice and smooth, planting his feet expertly and popping off short counters. Nice two-piece, check hook & uppercut - and down goes Odhiambo!!! He's up, plodding in with an even more rigid guard, sweeping a hook at Krael, a bit more frantic despite his efforts to be careful defensively. Another knockdown! Up - no, down!

    KO1!!!
