First stoppage for Krael since June 2017, and his fourth ever in 31 bouts - and his fastest ever (this was at two minutes and three seconds, his previous TKO1 came at two minutes and five)

 

You know something? If I were a Las Vegas resident and I had nabbed free tickets to this show, I'd be coming away VERY satisfied. Cool that TMT did this, even if it wasn't pure philanthropy (it was all a publicity stunt to promote Pac vs. Broner, after all...but still...)

 

Odhiambo had just gone eight rounds in November with light middleweight prospect Justin DeLoach. (although, in fairness, he is a natural lightweight, his last stoppage loss coming at the hands of Eduard Troyanovsky in 2013)

 

Yeah, I had bemoaned the indignity of McCarter being relegated to co-main status behind Krael, and chalked it up to being due the rampant and unapologetic sexism that is par for the course in the sport, but after that performance and hearing the crowd response for Krael even during his ring walk (and especially when he scored the KO) the logic of putting him atop the bill would hold water even if they were the same gender. He puts asses in seats, which is damn rare for a guy with a record like that.
