An eight time world champion in five different weight divisions, she currently has (I believe) the longest active undefeated streaks of the pros, extending back nearly a dozen years. She headlines a Mayweather Promotions card in Las Vegas on Thursday against hard-hitting three-time world title challenger (and current FAB national Argentinian welterweight champion) Yamila Esther "La Maquinita" Reynoso. Still going strong at 39, she really does have some amazing career stats...having never been stopped in 60 bouts despite having faced many world class women up and down the scales, and of the people that have defeated her she holds at least one victory herself against three of them (including highly regarded and now long retired Jelena Mrdenovich, over whom McCarter is 2-1...along with 3-1 on her career against Melissa Hernandez, who squeaked by her in their fourth match in 2007 ...and 1-2 against Sandra Yard)
There's a sizable minority of the community of women's boxing fans (itself a marginal slice of the boxing fan base, admittedly) who believe McCarter is the best p4p, and not Persoon, Taylor or Brækhus... In fact I'm pretty sure Layla has called out all three of them.
