Well, he's right... If you know the fight game at all, you should know Leapai isn't getting anywhere near 1.5 million after taxes, trainers cut etc. Leapai is a fun heavyweight to watch, but he's just not world class... Is this not true?
Nothing like going the full Bustard. "Fancy criticising his team for getting a shot" - yet boxing writers, sites and fan's have been howling about exactly that.:deal Bypassed that one hey Bustard.
Totally ridiculous post. He was brave and was never in the race. He did the best he could against a far superior opponent.
Badly trained. He didn't do his best, he was never brave during the fight and never went balls to walls, he fought a safe fight, was overweight, unfit and pretty much just cashed in. The worst effort ive seen since Paul Briggs vs Green. Some of you need to stop buttering it up and just tell it like it is, pathetic.
wlads jab just bamboozled him. just like every other guy who fights him. u can train as much as u like for it, but his jab hits as hard as most heavies power shots. and when u have a guy like alex who has limited defence, its going to be a tough day at the office.
100% spot on. But at least he is now firmly top 5 most embarrassing Aussie performances in a world title fight: Glen Kelly Frank LoPorto Paul Briggs Alex Leapai ?
You would have to include Mundine getting KO'd by the feathered fisted Otke as one of top 5 most embarrassing Aussie performance :good.
If Alex can honestly say at was his best effort then he needs to take a good long look at himself, TC said it perfectly.
How many of you argumentive, critical criters have fought a bloke that comes in at the same weight as you, but is two foot taller, has a reach that is two feet longer, and is a brilliant and much higher level boxer than yourself? The majority of answers from you blokes would be, "no never been there, or done that', so if you don't fit into this category of experienced first hand boxers, then shut your gob....you have no idea of the extreme difficulty it is to fight/box such competitors.
U obviously know a lot about boxing.. Leapai was fat compared to Klitscko, he should have countered size difference with speed. Leapai knew wat he was in for, it's not like he was surprised by his reach and power. get Mick Kirby on here hel tell u himself Alex wasn't properly prepared
Sallywinder kept saying how fit he was but all I saw was a fat useless fighter that didn't deserve to be in the same building as Wlad let alone boxing ring.
