leapai should be thankful kali is fighting someone else!

I reckon he'd appreciate the opportunity to find out just where he stands on a world level and I also think he's earned the right to challenge that next level. On top of that, he'd be making a career high purse.

 

i don't think he'd be standing too long with Alex's use of his face as defence with Kalis power

 

Can't knock someone who wants to test themselves. It'd be a fight worth watching. I'll say this for Alex's defence. I notice he parries a lot of shots when I've watched him from ringside which doesn't often show clearly on TV.

 

I won't knock his enthusiasm, but his staredown routine last night just made him look like a punk. As Roach said to Mosely re pac "careful what you wish for"

Alex and Kirby are both national level type fighters
To suggest they would compete on the world stage is laughable. Meehan was always only B level at best on the big stage and he is lightyears above both
I wish all our boxers had the balls of Kirby and Leapai though and had a crack, for that they ought to be commended and will have my full support in every endeavour

 

A Leapai/Kali fight is probably a win win for both guys a anyway....Kali needs fights and bein' the aging...'b grader'...as someone said...it's a sporting thing to do...givin' a few locals a crack...and Alex would benefit by challenging a guy who's been in with a few topliners...
..interesting to note that box-rec has got Alex at #27 and Kali at #59...on paper it makes plenty of sense..

 

Judging by the juiceheads, and the Chernobl afflicted Russians, I'd say Meehans career had A Grade potential for a long time...

he looked good against Brewster, his sparring partner back then who showed him too much respect in my opinion.
His next fight against Rahman made me think Brewster was a fluke. He made Rahman look like Ali and Rahman aint nowhere near great

What are you hidfing from? As far as Leapia v Meehan, it would be a great fight to watch & certainly would determine who the best heavy in Oz is.
