    If Alex wants Commonwealth title he has to officially challenge champ Fury - approx date, purse etc. CBC doesn't follow same system as other orgs.
    Norton didn't come knocking on Vea's door. Vea challenged him & Norton tried everything possible to get out of it. Eventually title was declared vacant & Vea ended up fighting Siale for it.

    I went along last night and enjoyed the atmosphere, not a big crowd but enough to make a bit of noise. First time watching Solomon who was a bit cautious in the beginning but nailed it with a KO in the second. Alex's presence was enough to shake Weida then the bell rang following with a combination of assorted heavy fisted blows, some not connecting and the others doing the damage...round 1 KO the way it should be for a world heavyweight contender on his way up :good


    Was greeted at the door by a gentleman 'Leati and talked KMA to the man as I left :)

    Alex Leapai: “I will step in for Francois Botha and fight Tyson Fury"

    by Brendan George: World rated Australian heavyweight Alex Leapai 21-3-3, (16 KOs) has put his hand up to take on unbeaten Tyson Fury on February 19th in Wembley Arena after the British boxing board of control has refused to sanction the fight between Fury and Botha. “I would love to take this fight on, Fury is a good fighter and I’m happy to go to his town to make this fight happen,” stated Leapai.

    Leapai, who is the current WBO # 13 and former OPBF and interim WBO Oriental heavyweight title winner had a busy 2010 where he beat Bob Mirovic (KO1), Travis Walker (KO 4), Owen Beck (KO 6) and Darnell Wilson (WP 8). “Alex had a big year in 2010 and he is ready to go overseas and take on the big fights this year and I can’t think of a better start than to go to the UK and fight Tyson Fury at home,” noted Leapai’s trainer Noel Thornberry. When asked if he thought Fury would consider Leapai as an opponent Thornberry stated “ they are going to need a credible fighter on short notice, Alex had some great wins last year, he’s world rated and ready to go, I guess only time will tell if they take the fight..”

    Tyson Fury 13-0, (9 KOs) standing 6’9 and weighing in over 260lbs is a daunting task for any fighter, “I don’t know much about him other than he’s tall” laughs Leapai, “It really doesn’t matter I know what I’ve been doing in the gym and I’m ready for any challenge,” noted Leapai. “I’m happy to be fighting in my opponent’s backyard, that prospect excites me.”

    As Leapai’s trainer Noel Thornberry stated.....”only time will tell if they take the fight" and he closed with "I can be contacted on Facebook at anytime".

    maybe contact them and tell them. not just put it in the media.

    u can't just sit there and wait for fights to happen, u have to make it happen for u.

    i remember Leati posted earlier in the year noel had got in contact with furys manager calling to emailing him and never returned his call and emails.

    its been done. you just cant pay cowardly poms enough to part with a commonwealth title. only poms are allowed to fight for it. our commonwealth rep is as useless as a turd from an aids infected *******.

    whats an aussie got to do to bash a pom? ****, we arent even allowed in the same ring as the scum. i'll bet our commonwealth rep is a half assed 10 pound pom....:deal
