I favor Leapai in this one. Walker has quick hands and can put together some decent combinations when he wants to, but he is very sloppy with his attack and usually tries to overpower his opponent more or less. Alex has not fought this caliber of fighter before, so I expect Walker's strength to trouble him early on. That said, Walker tends to wear down the longer a fight lasts and doesn't have the ability or mentality to counterpunch and try to win rounds. Leapi TKO9, but behind on the cards at the time of stoppage.
Interesting mate....I see a short fight maybe 3 rounds Walker dont look like hes got the skills on the inside in attack or defence to keep Alex off him.
http://www.thechronicle.com.au/story/2010/06/22/boxing-Alex-Leapai-on-track-big-things-after-bout/ Alex has big plans should he win this according to this article.
How is a much easier question than who, here! :rofl Somebody's getting KTFO...this should be fantastic to watch, and more memorable than the main event.
Mate I have been watching Alex putting his punches together over the last few weeks and hes got speed and power for a HW....I can only see 1 result and thats an early stoppage win for Alex :good
Mate It's been 3 years since Travis has seen the sixth round of a fight out, if i were your mates i would be thinking more along the lines of putting my jaw on my chest and staying out of range for the first half of the fight then go to work when Travis starts puffing .
Surely Walker's power has to be a worry, though? Hopefully Alex is working on DEFENSE as well as offense. Walker's power is one of those terribly exciting types whose power is as great as his chin is brittle. :yep
Yeah mate the guys know Walker has power.....Alex will bank on his chin and better power....Alex will start to box and defend after round 4 if walker is still standing :good Josey good point mate but thats what most fighters try to do is stay at distance box and move...its just not Alex's best wepons....Alex will bring this fight on mate....its going to be exciting and fast while it lasts
A bit of a beat up with a few quotes thrown in... http://www.eastsideboxing.com/news.php?p=24242&more=1
