That's because when he says aloud the words "Mike Tyson" he poops his nappies.

The problem with these is the fighters just like the fans always can come up with an excuse, legitimate or not, where they actually feel correct in not giving credit to who beat them.
'I wasn't quite prime, the other guy was', 'it was one fight too far, the other guy was fresh' , 'he hit hard but I was distracted by x issue that night, otherwise I wouldn't have lost' ....etc. I'm sure some of it is just sour grapes but this plays a lot in the answers I think.

I think we can trust 'most' fighters, it also shows the reality of how good & tough some of the less credited fighters might have been, even if it was a rare strong showing from some of them.

i.e, Jock McAvoy who ruled Britain for 11 years, was avoided by World Middleweights and had something like 90 stoppages (will have to double check that), anyway, he said his Hardest fight was against Jack Forester.

now few of us know anything about Jack Forester, but he was a busy and active Noted MW in Britain in the 30s, so why would I doubt he was a good and hard fighter, just because he is not well known today?

I think there is too much projection from Fans & Forum people with respect too disregarding Contemporary Facts, Reports and Fighters Commentries, it's a hard old game and 'most' top fighters were the goods.

Coetzer was extremely strong. Bruno's answers come across as very honest in his article and i don't particularly doubt his sincerity. All the top dogs that beat him get good mentons, Lewis, Tyson, Witherspoon etc.

Bruno actually said "one of the strongest" and actually goes into detail why.

Bowe after fighting Coetzer commented - "He was extremely strong but not as crafty".

This is not well known but Rosario released a Tex-Mex crossover country and western album called "The Bramble & The Rose" with a track by the same name on it. It was really very popular in the Tuscon area when I was developing the heirloom brown Tepary bean for mass consumption in the lab. Rosario sang:

♪ The bramble and the rose
We goes together like ain't nobody knows
When we is together, Lordy how I crinkles up your toes

    The bramble and the rose
Livin' life up like bros before hoes
Never stoppin' to smell each other
    Never stoppin' lovin' one another
We're just like the A-team - what a dream - and diamonds in the sky of the cosmos. ♪

It was more popular on the reservations than Waylon's Love of the Common People. Me and Barb actually played it at our wedding reception for our first dance. Anyway, definitely should've been credited.
