If you ever took the time to talk with Tyson you would realise that he is a very shrewd cat.. quite well read indeed...

Golota springs to immediate mind, and Joe Frazier... Joe is a boxing god, but when he thought an uncle Tom was a man who peeped through keyholes (Peeping Tom !!!) It got me to thinking...

I dont think that you mean I.Q.
I think you mean "stupid" by the way they fight.
If thats the case, then, ---- Paul Williams fought one of the stupidest fights that I have seen in a long time.
A big tall guy fighting a shorty, coming in straight forward and taking it on the chin all niite long. He made no attempt to improvise or adjust his strategy.
It was like he wasw trying to break one of Quintana's hands with his face.
    Pretty stupid.
If he smart -- then he sure wasnt that nite.
    An off stupid night. ?????

I always thought you were an idiot and your proving you are. Hagler was robbed against Antufermo and beat Duran. Yes he had a bad gameplan in the first four rounds against Leonard but he turned southpaw again so he did change in the fight.

Hagler lacked the ability to adapt to change. I liked Hagler, he was the first big pro I saw fight live, I had a lot of time for him.

But using sentiment to cover his shortcommings is not going to work. Hagler had poor trainers and lacked imagination in the ring, and sometimes that cost him, be it VitoI, Duran or Leonard. All three fights he should of won easily, all three fights, where he fought the wrong fight, and with VitoI and Leonard he could not make the changes to win, with Duran he eventually did in the championship rounds.

Young Griffo was pretty slow witted, outside the ring,Battling Nelson wasn,t the sharpest knife in the drawer,Hurricane Jackson was educationally subnormal I beleive, an interview he did with Aj Liebling sounded like an extract from Of Mice and Men.
