Yes Johnson really did miss Vitali with approx 270 punches in the course of the fight....

We're discussing hypothetical examples. At least you're picking up some of the fundamentals of scoring now though.

And how would you answer my hypothetical question? Would you respect the guy throwing one punch? Can you understand now why I think Haye is a bag of **** for running against Mount Valuev?

You should read next time, I've been saying that the whole time.

One every 15 seconds ..... ON AVERAGE! Which means he threw a combo and ran for a minute. Another combo, and another minute of running. It was painful to watch.

Would depend entirely on the context of the fight, etc, etc, and multiple considerations that aren't defined in your hypothetical. Though respect isn't the right word, I respect anyone who gets in the ring. Give credit is probably a better phrase.

Klitschko Ibragimov. Nuff said (slapping the back of the hand doesn't count as a punch of course)

:good As it happens mate, I believe the guy is correct. And I suppose no-one is going to be ****ing stupid enough to view the fight again, to form their own "Stats":). What it does show is that even though Kevin Johnson threw so many more than David, a lot of people would not have believed that to be the case. As I have said previously, David, as a master of illusion, rivals David Copperfield and Lance Burton:). And when you consider the "Stats", which over the 12 round distance do not lie, it should make you consider just how David will fare against either Klitschko! I am a fan of David's but I choose to ignore the hype and my guess is that he'll be "Shut down" by either brother, like many more before him!

I like how the op changes the parameters of the thread to suit his own prejudice. Sad. Very sad.

Na. You just haven't got the balls to trust your own judgement and get behind a fighter.

I forgot to mention it going the distance you softcock. Obviously this is not about first round knockouts within 5 seconds. I am curious if anyone, ever, in the history of the sport, got a belt in a fashion even more pathetic than David Haye. There's no secret about that, I absolutely loath the stunt he pulled.

    Maybe it was psychology?

It's completely irrelevant comparing Haye and Holyfield, it can't be helped that Holyfield got a **** decision against him, and that shouldn't take anything away from Haye beating him.

This is blatent hating on David Haye by you, and although you're usually a decent poster it's making you look a fool! The art of boxing is to hit and not get hit, which is exactly what Haye done. Just because he didn't fight in a style that appeals to you, you don't like him or you dislike him because you're a big Holyfield fan, it shouldn't take away from him beating Valuev.

I'm aware you fight, if in one of your bouts you out landed your opponent by being more accurate, but he was the busier walk forward fight but missed a lot, and he nicked a decision, would you say it was fair or scream robbery?
