    best fights should equal....BEST REF. i think he would've handled that situation a whole lot better than cortez...who ****ed up yet again, i was so dissapointed when i heard he was reffing this fight..and now we see why. just retire cortez. i wish i knew how they choose the refs for these big fights..

    I like Kenny Bayless as a refree, but other than posibily be looking at Mayweather and Ortiz when Mayweather knocked Ortiz out. What would he have done diffrently. Mayweather didn't do any thing illeagale or dirty or cheep. In fact the only illeagale or dirty or cheep acts in he fight were the head butts the first at about 1:20 left in the round that wasn't called and the one that lead to the ending of the fight. So other than catch the first headbutt and warn him or take a point than and there, or DQ Ortiz for the headbutt that was cought.What would Bayless have done that Cortez didn't do?

    i think he would have made sure everyone was set, time keeper ready, and then said fight. not "lets go" then look at time keeper and ask "did the bell ring?" all while not even looking at whats going on...establish everything, figure it out..then finally..on with the fighters.

    tony weeks is even a better ref than cortez at this point.

    Make sure the boxers were in their respective corners, check with the time keeper and then restart the fight. Cortez blew it.

    Well lets see people mosty mayweather haters are bashing floyd for cheap shotting gatti, mosley, ortiz and is bashing cortez in which is like cortez ref all 3 of those fights? Many say kenny would have done different if he was the ref for mayweather vs ortiz? Lol no he wouldnt in which it prove it in the mayweather vs mosley fight when mayweather did a cheap shot at mosley when mosley wanted to touch gloves 2 times and talking and bayless who was the ref in that fight didnt warn mayweather.
