I'm getting sick of everyone taking the **** out of Audley Harrison,y'all forget he won gold ? Ya'll forget what he did at world level ? WBF champ etc. Leave Audley alone i mean it,just leave him alone ok ?
I agree. Audley Harrison's forte was in amateur boxing. Who cares if he ended up a journeyman pro? When it's all said and done, Audley is an Olympic Gold Medalist, and everyone who disses him are just average Joe's who could never dream of achieving such a thing.
Audley's biggest problem was his lack of confidence. He didn't have the fortitude to make it in the pros.
Yep. Glass chin + Glass heart= low success Audley probably had the talent to be a contender but his lack of chin or heart made that next to impossible.
I actually like Harrison, he seems like a nice guy, was talented, just with the wrong mentality for the pros.
Just leave him alone,he you all great nights,he gave you entertainment,he gave you hes all and this is how you repay him ?
He was set up to fail against Danny Williams and Dominick Guinn on UK and US TV.. won both those fights in terms of barx.. That's why it took the rematch to show the difference.. If you score boxing properly.. jabs.. headshots.. shots missed.. as well as everything else too.. Harrison won every fight up to Haye in which he went into with the Sprott II surgery.. Some don't recognise the Sprott II fight as having an injury at all.. let alone the oximoronical fight.. He was 39 by the time of the Haye fight and 40 years old with David Price..
On Boxrec they won't even change the first Sprott fight to a TKO.. where Audley wanted to beat the count.. It's regarded as the greatest British KO of all time..
