I know everybody wants talk **** about Peter because he got knocked down 3 times and wasnt able to knockout a top 20 guy like Mccline, yet no one will give Sam any praise for being able to get through that tough 3rd round and eventually beat Mccline. Peter was able to effectively box his way to victory and go the body quite effectively, which helped him to tire Mccline even more as the championship rounds approached. Maybe Sam Peters power and chin were a little overrated, but that still doesnt take away from the fact he could still give any heavywieght trouble and comback and win in a tough fight.

Peter is tough guy and he proved it against Mccline, if Peter would of known his oppenent earlier he would of been better prepared, he would of been working with sparring partners that were around 6'6 not 6'2.

No boxer is perfect, Wlad has a blarring weakness too, anytime he gets hit with a hard punch he has a panic attack and starts clinching. I understand Peter has to work on a few things, but hes still young and will rebound from this better than ever.

I think Peter will get better from this experience...he's a top tier fighter in the heavyweight division despite what some may say

I give Peter credit for getting up and toughing out a victory but let's be real here. McCline was gassed after the third round and did almost nothing from then on.

If McCline was a better finisher or had better stamina he may have very well finished Peter.

The whole issue stems from Peter being overrated in the first place. If he were put in proper perspective, this victory would have more meaning and be a better indication of his heart and place in the heavyweight mix. Without the hype, getting up from three knockdowns and thoroughly outboxing an opponent would be a huge achievement (marquez vs. pacman anyone) but since people was supposed to be the next foreman/tyson/liston, it looks sloppy and pathetic. seriously, this was a good victory for the REAL peter and an eye opener only for the HYPE peter

Don't put him against Wald again he stands no chance at all!

Anybody with an above average power and chin could beat Wlad, Im not saying they will, but a guy like Peter does have decent chance of beating Wlad.

For how long will Peter be young? 30, 35? And not sure why but many posters are saying he's shorting his age. That he's already 30ish. Sure Peter might rebound as you say, but his stock has dropped with many posters.

His stock dropped a little in my mind as well, I just feel everybodys entitled to one bad night, a night he was still able to comeback and gain a victory. I think will have a better idea of were Peter stands after his next fight, when hes better prepared.
