I think he probably would beat Peter 7 times out of 10, Im hoping Peter could imply some of his rough house tactics in his attack against Wlad. Wlad has not been tested in 2 years, so who knows how he will react against getting hit by a fighter with power again.
But he already proved he couldn't really hurt Wald for 12 rounds and one more round and he would be finished. Not mention he was outboxed clarly. Maybe he should fight Wlad for say ... 150 rounds and then we will know for sure if he is going to knock him out ... say maybe between 70 and 100 round?
I have watched the Peter/Wlad fight at 10-15 times already and its clear to see Wlad was a hurt by Peter a couple times in the match, Peter being 25 at the time seemed to smother his punches instead setting himself up to throw effective punches. Wlads clinching helped him to come away with a tough victory, I give Manny more credit than I do Wlad.
Lets put it this way. Corrie Sanders shocked the world when he dispatched of Waldo, knocking him to the canvas three times in one round to score the TKO. Lennox Lewis was also dispatched in brutal fashion by 14-1 underdog Hasim Rahman, a man just like McCline, who was thought to be "done". Jameel McCline, another longshot, drops Sam Peter 3 times but can't finish him. Sam still wins despite taking several hard brutal shots. If people still believed in Lewis, and still believe in Waldo, then they have some serious splainin to do in regards to losing faith in Sam Peter. :smoke
I give Wlad more credit than Manny. It was Wlad fighting Peter for 3 minutes a round, Manny worked the corner for 1 minute between rounds :yep Never ceases to amaze me how many times Wlad critcs or haters :| bring up clinching - as if he invented it  Fighters from Jack Johnson (yeah it was different then, blah blah) to Ali were clinch masters. It's like one poster said in a thread some time ago, the Wlad haters just want him to stick his chin out there and say "hit me". I understand some posters want him to lose asap (and the reasons why), but he isn't going to make it that easy.
That's the beauty of being a sports fan. Fat dudes and people who can't perform (myself included) criticizing the top talent.
It was Manny that taught Wlad to clinch when he gets hurt, I completely understand Wlads the one in there fighting. Wlad is an amazing fighter, but he can be beat just like anyone else and his chin is weak spot.
Ricardo would be then only guy in the house rooting for a Ruiz comeback. Anyways Sam is a good kid, which is why I have a ton of respect for him. And he does pretty damn good for a guy who had a crap amateur career.
I meant it to sound like that, I just hate how people knock someone for one bad fight, that Peter showed heart to come back and win.
Oh, that was pretty clear. Which is why it took only ONE POST for someone to throw that in! For what it's worth, I agree with the premise - people are jumping on the anti-Peter bandwagon WAY too quick off this performance. But this is VERY common among boxing fans. Boxing is very much a "what have you done for me lately" sport.
I've always felt Peter was overrated, especially after beating the even more overrated James Toney. I'm just happy to see him get exposed, and see people getting off the bandwagon.
