He genuinely believes he can come back and beat Andy Ruiz. He's that deluded.

It's funny cause he had said "all his money is in investments so he never has to work again and can disappear". Wonder what kind of hit those investments took during covid

The minute he was gifted a paper world title he became insufferable. A lot of the problems with modern boxing stem from those kind of fights being seen as the pinnacle of the sport.

Loved him at LHW, and was interested to see what he could do at CW. Always felt he was unlucky in that his real fighting weight was somewhere between those two weight classes. That big 25lb jump can stop a lot of boxers from reaching their true potential, and I think Bellew was one of them. Doesn't excuse the utter farce his career became from Makabu onwards.

Agreed, he just wants to be left alone with his wife and kids, but everyone keeps dragging him into interviews and forcing him to commentate, he just wants to be left alone, Kugan keeps forcing him to do interviews, just leave him alone ffs, I really feel sorry for him

Between him and Froch, they should arrange a bout for the most delusional belt ever.

Preferably in front of 80.000 + 3 spare seats that they can waffle on about who reserved them!!

Classic, wonder if Adam smith cringes when he thinks of this or if it’s just normal to him

Cringes - you must be joking.

All his lines are thought through and printed in front of him - he has this down as one of his finest along with:

'these two don't really like each other do they?'
    'Countdown for AJ'
'A huge night for British Boxing' when the closest fight is 1/20 odds on and the rest 1/100 odds on or worse
'A potential stadium fight' - for Lewis Ritson LOL
'I wonder how the judges are seeing it'

Then he makes random unsubstantiated statements such as 'Chisora is well liked' followed by 'isn't he Carl?'

He never cringed when he was caught on camera looking at peckers during weigh-ins and has either no shame, no self-awareness or simply doing his job following the company script.

He follows everything Eddie tells him to say.

    'A cracking match-up' etc

You forgot the classic Smith line 'He just looked at his corner then, maybe showing signs he is in distress'

It's a good point. Tbf I think most of the investments will probably be property and while values might take a hit in the interim they would likely still be safe investments in the long run. But it will be interesting to see if the knock on effects of the recession tempt any recent retirees back to fight again if business ventures suffer.

Amir Khan recently developed a wedding venue in Bolton which was going to launch in summer and I reckon that must have taken a significant hit with loads of cancelled bookings. So he may finally be forced into a fight with Brook to ease any cashflow worries.

Think a lot of delusional boxers will be brought back down to earth though regarding their purse expectations. If fans aren't allowed in for the rest of the year, every single purse and PPV loot will take a hit.
