78-75 Lebedev. Sad to see roy in a fight that he doesn't even look like he's trying to win

It's quickly become a case of if Roy can survive rather than can he win. His output is nil now, and he's spending more time on the ropes making it easy for Leb to pin him down.

Leb can't be in love with this performance no matter what. He's dropped quite a few rounds on mine and not really put the type of pressure you'd expect on a 40 year old shot fighter.

Round 8: Roy's started quite well and his getting his counters off but after a minute he's back into the corner and Lebedev unloads, moreso than usual, but then lets him off again. Roy's starting to look tired and is getting caught on the ropes. Offensively Lebedev doesn't seem to know what to do whenever Roy covers up.

    Lebedev 79-75

Jones needs to quit and tour the world doing 6 round exhibitions. Most of the money, hardly any of the risk.

You are quite right. Roy has those punches in his locker but his decline in speed and reflexes means that he can't pull the trigger.

    Poorly worded by me. :good

Round 9: Time for Lebedev to close the show, surely, but he isn't fighting like it. He lays off and Roy lands 3 shots. He's starting to believe in himself now. Lebedev backs Roy into the corner, throws 2 shots then backs off!?! Jones is back on the ropes and Lebedev looks more up for it now... left hook from Jones! But Lebedev shakes it off.

    89-84 Lebedev.

Roy's speed is still well above average. Handspeed anyway. Especially at cruiser he's probably got some of the quickest hands. Work-rate, chin, stamina, reflexes, footwork all shot though. Too much time with the ear muffs on soaking it up and thats not the Roy we loved.
